Lieutenant Joel Bello, Esq., is a seventeen year veteran of the Miami-Dade Police Department. During his time he has served in the Uniform Patrol, Narcotics Bureau, and Robbery Bureau. As a supervisor in the Street Gang Section, coordinator for the Multi Agency Gang Task Force; Special Response Team (SRT) commander, Priority Response Team commander; and is now supervising investigations in the Homeland Security Bureau. Lieutenant Bello is a graduate from St. Thomas School of Law and a practicing attorney. He also holds a master’s degree in performance psychology and has implemented mental skills training into tactical police training.

Zachary L. Catanzaro is a corporate advertising and cyberlawyer practicing out of Boca Raton, Florida. His cyberlaw practice focuses on international transactions and emergent technologies, including blockchain, cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence and other forms of digital data analytics, privacy matters, white collar computer crimes, and complex ESI projects. His advertising practice encompasses domestic and international trademark litigation and product and service claim litigation.Zachary graduated magna cum laude from St. Thomas University in 2012, having served as Articles Editor of Law Review. He received best student awards in the areas of Intellectual Property, Antitrust, Trade Secrets, Constitutional Law (Bill of Rights), Criminal Law, and Civil Procedure I and II. During law school, he interned for the Honorable Justice James E.C. Perry (ret.) of the Florida Supreme Court, the Honorable Magistrate Barry S. Seltzer (ret.) of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, and for Kain Spielman PA, a complex intellectual property litigation boutique.
Zachary’s education and policy work extends beyond the classroom. He has published several cyberlaw papers. Zachary has served as Chair of the Florida Bar Business Law Section’s eDiscovery & Digital Evidence Subcommittee; Vice Chair of the Florida Bar Standing Committee on Lawyer Advertising; and as a member of the Florida Bar’s Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Section and the Business Law Section’s Intellectual Property, Computer Law and Technology, Digital Currency & Blockchain Technology and Civil Rules Task Force. Zachary is also a member of the International Association of Trademark Lawyers, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Laws.

Vanessa Henri is an academic and legal expert on data protection laws. She has worked on topics such as cyber-espionage, and her studies on the Dark Web were funded by the Quebec Bar Association, prior to publication in the Canadian Journal of Law and Technologies. She has published a variety of other data privacy-related materials and has contributed as a speaker to various conferences about data protection laws and cybersecurity-related liabilities.

Kevin R. Levy was raised in South Florida, and is no stranger to the diversity, community, and lifestyle which makes this area a hub for business, law, and ingenuity. With a passion for public service, Kevin began his career in law enforcement after Graduating from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Kevin ultimately obtained his dream job, and served as a Special Agent with The United States Secret Service, where he honorably retired. After a short tenure assisting the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Alabama, Kevin received an executive appointment as the Commander for the Cyber Intelligence Division with the Mobile Police Department, where he has served since 2015. In 2017, Kevin obtained his Master’s Degree in Justice Administration from Faulkner University. Kevin, along with his wife and two amazing children call Daphne, Alabama home, and are active members and servants to Coastal Church.

Roza Pati is a tenured Professor of Law at St. Thomas University School of Law, where she also co-directs the programs of Master of Laws and the Doctorate of the Science of Law in Intercultural Human Rights. She teaches International Law, Human Rights Law, Human Trafficking Law, and Comparative Law. Inspired by her work against human trafficking since the early 1990s, Dr. Pati founded in 2010 the John J. Brunetti Human Trafficking Academy, an institute she continues to direct.

George Perera is a career law enforcement officer with more than 29 years service. With the last 15 years working in technology focusing in cyber security. Perera excelled in technology and ultimately has become a subject matter expert in the areas of communications interoperability and cyber security.His unusual combination of hard technical, public/private partnership development, facilitation, and national risk management experience allow him to provide particular insight into and leadership of strategic organizational, sector, and national cyber security initiatives and educational endeavors.
