A native of Madrid, Spain, Cristina C. López is a higher education administration professional with 15+ years of experience in academia, non-profit, and corporate sectors. Currently, she is Director of Career Services and an Adjunct Faculty at St. Thomas University, her alma mater. Ms. López has been cross-trained in Student Affairs, Academic and Career Services, and International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS). Her industry experience includes working for a world leader in luxury goods in Madrid, a start-up online research company in Miami Beach, and an American Spanish-language television network in Hialeah. Passionate about giving back to the community, Ms. López served as President of the South Florida chapter of Prospanica, the association of Hispanic professionals, which promotes education and employment opportunities amongst Hispanics and other minorities.

Ms. López is a Ph.D. student in the Higher Education Leadership program at Florida Atlantic University. She holds a Master of Arts in Communication Arts, a Master of Business Administration, a Certificate in Human Resource Management, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Thomas University. In addition, she is MBTI certified. Ms. López is fluent in English, Spanish, and French. In her role as Director of Career Services, Ms. López is responsible for the creative management and coordination of the university’s career services for students and recent alumnae/i. Services provided include internship and job search assistance, interview preparation, résumé writing, career development workshops, and job fair coordination. She uses her entrepreneurial skills to develop experiential and internship opportunities for all levels of students of Biscayne College, the School of Arts and Education, the Gus Machado School of Business, the School of Science, and the School of Theology.
