Carnival Building
The Carnival Cruise Lines Science and Technology Building houses the School of Science, Technology and Health and the School of Nursing. The building opened in August, 2008, and features teaching laboratories and teaching support facilities for Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics, and Nursing.
A dedicated research laboratory space fitted with modern equipment provides students opportunities to interact one-on-one with faculty members conducting original scientific research. In addition, the Scientific Discovery Laboratory promotes science and technology to the local community to encourage young students to pursue careers in science and engineering, and it includes interactive laboratory models, displays, and demonstrations to teach the community about modern topics in the sciences. Recently, a new Nursing Simulation Laboratory was established through the kind donations from Florida Blue, the Hugoton Foundation, and the Lacher Family Fund, to train Nursing students before they go in to their clinical experiences at hospitals.
