Health & Wellness Services

The STU Health & Wellness Center at STU is here when you need same day care for minor injuries and illnesses. Our Board Certified Physician and Nurse Practitioner can treat active STU students and employes on weekdays between 8;30am through 5pm.

Services Offered

  • Care for acute medical illnesses and injuries. In addition, services include evaluation and treatment of common illnesses, skin concerns, women’s health, and specialty care referrals.
  • Onsite CLIA waived lab testing (Strep, Flu, COVID, Urine Pregnancy, Urine dipstick)*.
  • EKG
  • Access to select over the counter medications.
  • Community Health Care referrals
  • Department of Health provides free STD testing biweekly on select dates (Excludes Summer break)

After Hours Care

During the evenings and weekends, students have access to telehealth services through Healthiest You. This service provides 24/7 access to board certified health care providers via telephone or video chat. This service is free for students insured through the UHCSR student health insurance plan. For students with private insurance, check your insurance card for a similar service. If you do not have access to telehealth, you can utilize Healthiest You at a cost of $45 per service.

Confidentiality of Health Information

All student health records and visits are confidential. No medical information will be released without written consent from the patient. If you would like the provider at STU Health & Wellness Center center to discuss an illness or injury with anyone other than yourself, a written consent form needs to be signed.
