International applicants who have attended an institute on outside of the United States must present a course-by-course evaluation and official translation of their credentials completed by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or endorsed member by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE).

The Duolingo English Test is an online English proficiency test that can be taken online, on-demand, in under an hour for only $49. The test is taken via a computer with a camera and includes a proficiency score, video interview, and writing sample which are shared with St. Thomas University when you send your results. Certified results are available within 48 hours of the test session.

Exemption from submitting a TOEFL does not imply exemption from sitting for an additional Test of English Language Proficiency before registration if so required by the school or academic department.
In cases where there is more than one official language listed and English is one of the official languages, the decision has been made to require the TOEFL.
Financial Guarantee Form
As required by the United States Government before the issuing of any I-20s, students must submit a Financial Guarantee Form along with proof of financial support. The Financial Guarantee Form should be supported by:
- Bank Letter or Bank Statement
- Copy of your current passport information page

Your I-20 and STU welcome package will be shipped to you via FedEx International Priority.
The following must be completed before we send out your I-20:
- You have been accepted to your academic program
- STU Admissions Office has received required documentation
- You have made a $200 tuition deposit
