Dr. Nicholas Mathew serves as Assistant Professor of International Business at St. Thomas University (STU), Miami, Florida. He also serves as program director and advisor for the online Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of International Business (MIB) programs at STU. Dr. Mathew holds undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate degrees in international business, marketing, and general and global business administration. His teaching and research focuses on international business management and includes key business areas such as firm strategy, marketing management, trade, foreign direct investment, global firm expansion and growth.

Dr. Mathew has conducted research on subjects such as consumer consumption patterns and emerging market professional service firms (for e.g. law and technology firms) that are seeking to expand and successfully compete internationally. His research work has appeared at several reputable publications. He has lectured at academic events both domestically and globally and holds membership of the Academy of International Business (AIB) and the American Marketing Association (AMA).

Dr. Mathew firmly believes in the concept of engaged and proactive learning with learners given the opportunity to actively apply their lessons outside the classroom; to that end, Dr. Mathew in his capacity as a teacher, has engaged his students in business-related competitive events and real-world global projects outside the classroom setting.

Outside of academia, Dr. Mathew has worked at domestic and global firms where he has conducted research on the arts, health and well-being, and consumer and industrial products.
