Legal Writing Program
Learn to think, research, and write like a lawyer
The Legal Writing Program at STU Law develops the practical skills lawyers use every day: careful reading, efficient research, rigorous analysis, clear writing, and sound professional judgment.
About the Program
STU Law’s three-semester legal writing program connects law school to legal practice through small-section, hands-on instruction.
Students read cases and statutes, conduct original legal research, draft objective and persuasive legal documents, revise their work, and receive individualized faculty feedback. The capstone semester extends these skills into appellate advocacy and oral argument.
